Geography At St. Joseph's the study of geography gives students an insight into the world and how it alters. The students look at processes which operate in the physical and human world and pay particular attention to their own local environment. The students study topics such as soil erosion, migration, traffic management and the growing problem of urban sprawl.
The course at Junior and Senior Level has undergone a number of syllabus changes.
In 1992 the revised Junior Certificate was first examined. Link to new Junior Certificate Syllabus.
In 2006 the revised Leaving Certificate was first examined. Link to new Leaving Certificate Syllabus.
There is now a more structured, tiered and connected approach to the subject. |
